The academic exploration and play in the JA preschool years will instill in your child the foundation for a lifelong love of learning. Through personal attention and a thoughtful academic curriculum, we are committed to the intellectual, spiritual, creative, social, emotional, and physical growth of your child.
Your child will explore and expand his or her knowledge of the world, all enhanced by an outstanding introduction to art, music, and libraries. Through hands-on activities, we’ll develop perceptual motor skills, strengthening the link between moving and learning.
In the end, we will give your child an excellent jump-start in reading, writing, listening, and speaking — all in an environment where children feel cared for and safe.
Preschool Highlights

In Preschool, your child will:

Student Support
We employ a team approach in meeting your child’s needs in a variety of areas. The team consists of the student, parents, teachers, support personnel, and outside professionals as indicated.
Meet Our Division Leader
Sandra Triplett
Head of Preschool
Sandra Triplett, a JA class of 2009 graduate, returned to JA in 2014 as a lower school teacher. She currently serves as the head of the Preschool. Sandra earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Mississippi.
