Nestled in the Sheffield Drive neighborhood of northeast Jackson, Mississippi, Jackson Academy stands as an independent college preparatory day school catering to students from K2 through twelfth grade. Providing a blend of traditional academic courses and diverse opportunities in fine arts, athletics, and extracurricular activities, JA is recognized as an Apple One-to-One school. Situated on a 38-acre campus, it is lauded as one of the most exceptional school environments by the Midsouth Association of Independent Schools.
With over 200 dedicated faculty and staff, JA serves a student body of 1,200, boasting an average staff tenure of nine years. Impressively, more than 40% of our teaching faculty hold advanced degrees in their respective fields. The Interview Process
Jackson Academy interviews highly qualified individuals for specific positions, conducting subsequent discussions with administrators and/or faculty. References are checked for final candidates, and other sources may be consulted for verification. The Head of School makes all ultimate decisions on employment and salary offers. Successful candidates receive a written contract upon selection.
