Creative Writing students Priya Ray and Wisdom Ware won honors in the Mississippi Scholastic Writing Awards competition this year. Priya won a silver key for her poem The Nature of Blue and honorable mention for her poem A Scarlet Sunset. Wisdom earned a gold key for her poem When Cancer Wins and a Silver Key for her personal essay The Time I Thought Black Wasn’t Beautiful. Congratulations, Priya and Wisdom!
